Launches for the project took place in India over Easter 2007. We were delighted that the Vice President Designate of the Methodist Conference and the Moderator Designate of the United Reformed Church launched this significant project.

Thursday 5th April 2007 - Launch of ‘Peacebuilders – Children for Peace’ at Sultan Shahi School, an HMI project which provides schooling for young children and vocational courses for women and men aiming to involve equal numbers from the Hindu and Muslim communities and make community peace-building part of the activities.

Saturday 7th April 2007 - Launch of Peacebuilders with leaders of churches, UN organizations, NGOs, street children and children from local schools. Programme included presentations, songs, drama and story from local children and contributions from the Moderator Designate and the Vice President Designate.
